Book Committee Update

Book Committee Update:  Poetry collection will be open from May 24 - June 28, with deadline for submission at the June monthly meeting, 6/28/11.

I suggest 10 - 15 poems, numbered in the order of most important to you for publication.  Since the book has not been designed and will be a departure from past books, the number of printed poems for each poet is hard to calculate, so we will ask that you send more than we will actually use, also unknown are the actual number of poets participating in the book.  At this point I'd like to close the project to only include our members at this time, as I believe we have over 12 poets that have expressed their interest in joing the project.

The Book Committee is JoEllen Ganter, Pat Deeder, and Scott Zirkelback, our emails are on the one of the pages at the right.

Committee will format and design book pages at the May 24th meeting.  The committee will accept poetry by formatted email, for those without computers

mail or hand in poems to a committee member by the deadline date. For our northern poets, I will send out email information, as soon as we have more to report on the process.  I have taken Paul Holmes publishing class which I found to be very informative and will help us create a very up-to-date ninth addition to the Weaver of Words series.  Paul has offered to guide us through any difficulties we may encounter getting our book in print.  Goal: Complete Book and introduce it at the November 19th Open Mic Event.
